Our software packaging upgrading and licensing skills includes:

• Strong expertise in developing software packaging using Windows installer XML (Wix) tool chain such as Candle and light compiler with an ability to write custom actions and dynamic link libraries for Wix packaging projects and Wix upgrade packaging.
• Development of software migration tools, online software upgrade client utility and software upgrade server side framework, both for windows setup as well as non windows software setup.
• Integrating Cadence Data Soft developed software licensing module or third-party licensing module with software packages and software upgrades.

Software Packaging- Our product development abilities and GUI development abilities has given us several opportunities to develop windows setup packages and non windows setup packages, using industries leading tools such as InstallShield, InstallAnywhere and Windows installer XML (Wix). Some of the feature rich packages that we have developed for desktop as well as mobile platforms includes, writing setup application for bootstrapping windows setup (.MSI) package, integration of software licensing modules, online registration of the product, writing custom actions, assigning user or group privileges, invoking applications and dynamic link libraries from windows setup. We also have expertise in writing first time navigation wizards for quick ramp-up on product usage, writing product configuration wizards for distributed or client server applications.

Online Upgrade- Our product development abilities has not only given us an opportunity to develop skills for writing software patches but have also has given us opportunity to develop skill required for implementing online upgrade framework for software upgrades, distribution of patches, and hotfix distribution. This includes, online product registration, user authentication, checking for availability of new patches, backing up data that could potentially be affected by the new patch, running migration tools to create environment necessary to execute new modules and finally upgrading the software itself. We also have expertise in integrating distribution of software upgrades, using third-party frameworks.
